Purchase conditions when you buy a single ticket in advance using Travel planner
These conditions apply from 5 June 2011.
1. Purpose and application of the conditions
1.1 These conditions apply when you buy a single ticket in advance using Travel planner on the Västtrafik website.
1.2 You must be at least 18 years of age in order to buy a ticket using Travel planner.
1.3 These conditions are supplemented by Västtrafik's current purchase conditions and general terms and conditions of travel.
2. Buying a single ticket
2.1 Buying a ticket
You can buy a ticket up to 14 days before the departure time and at the latest 10 minutes before the departure time.
2.2 Delivery of tickets
Your ticket will be delivered to the mobile phone number you provide around 20 minutes before the departure time. If you buy a ticket within 20 minutes of the departure time, the ticket will be delivered immediately. Västtrafik accepts no liability for incorrectly entered mobile telephone numbers. Tickets delivered may not be forwarded to another mobile phone and are valid only for travel with the mobile phone specified at the time of purchase.
2.3 Route information
Information about the line and departure time for the ticket you have purchased will be sent as an sms to the mobile phone number provided at the time of purchase 24 hours before the departure time. This route information is not valid as a ticket.
2.4 Refunds and exchanges
Tickets purchased cannot be refunded or exchanged. See below for claims.
3. Ticket validity and change times
3.1 Ticket validity
The ticket is valid during the validity period indicated on the ticket. You can travel within and between the zones in which the departure and arrival stops are located. You can therefore continue your journey in the arrival zone in which the final stop is located during the ticket's validity period.
The ticket is valid for travel as soon as it is received on your mobile phone. You can therefore travel using a different departure than the one indicated on the ticket, provided it leaves within the validity period. If you choose a different line for your journey, you are responsible for the ticket being valid throughout the entire journey. For travel between two stops in the same or different zones but via a stop in another zone, a ticket is required that is valid for travel between all these zones.
3.2 Change times
When travelling within a zone, the change time is 90 minutes and when travelling between several zones, the change time is 180 minutes.
3.3 Space available
Your right to travel is dependent on there being enough space available. In the event of a cancellation or delay, you are entitled to compensation in accordance with Västtrafik's travel guarantee. Find out more on our website or contact Customer Service for more information.
3.4 Part payment
You can use your ticket as part payment when buying a new ticket if you want to continue your journey into another zone.
4.1 Payment methods
You can pay using VISA, MasterCard, VISA Electron or MasterCard Maestro issued by a Swedish card issuer or bank.
All purchases made on the Västtrafik website are carried out through a payment exchange. Västtrafik has a partnership with DIBS Payment Services AB (www.dibs.se), which uses an encrypted connection to your bank to check that your bank card is valid for your purchase. You therefore do not provide any sensitive bank card details to Västtrafik. DIBS guarantees compliance with the security requirements stipulated by the banks, which means that your payment will be processed securely.
5. Payment confirmation
As soon as your payment has been authorised, a payment confirmation screen will be displayed. This confirmation is also your receipt for your purchase. If you choose to enter an e-mail address at the time of ordering, confirmation will also be sent to this address.
6. Cooling-off period
The statutory cooling-off period under the Swedish Distance and Home Selling Act (2005:59) does not apply to agreements relating to transport. There is consequently no cooling-off period for the purchase of single tickets using Travel planner.
7. Claims – errors and delays
If the delivery of your ticket contains an error or is delayed, please contact our Customer Service on 0771 41 43 00.
8.1 You are responsible for ensuring that you can show an sms as your ticket and you are also responsible for providing the correct mobile phone number.
8.3 Västtrafik archives all previous versions of these conditions. If you want to know which version was in force at a particular point in time, please write to Västtrafik AB, Box 123, SE-541 23 Skövde, Sweden or e-mail email@example.com stating the date you require and we will send the Västtrafik conditions to you.
8.4 Disputes arising from these conditions shall be resolved in accordance with the laws of Sweden and at a Swedish general court. In the event of a dispute with a private individual, it is Västtrafik's policy to follow the recommendations of the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN).
