Your 1-day ticket is loaded onto a Västtrafik card and is valid from the first time you hold it against a card reader. You can use it whenever you like, up to 90 days after purchase. If you are going to use it directly, you can also buy a 1-day ticket as a normal paper ticket.

Regionen Runt 1-day is also available as an sms ticket.

24-hour tickets must always be activated within 90 days of purchase.

Read more about our purchase conditions

You must be able to show that you have a valid 24-hour ticket, even if there is no card reader on board.

Västtrafik has working arrangements with other transport companies, SJ for example, whose vehicles do not always have card readers. You must nevertheless be able to show that you have a valid ticket, so keep a card inspection receipt together with your card. If a 1-day ticket loaded on a card is not activated, you can ask for a card inspection receipt on any Västtrafik vehicle or from customer service. If it is activated, you can get a card inspection receipt from any customer service shop.
