In order to auto top-up your card, you must first register it on My Pages. Initially it can take up to seven days from the date of ordering before the Auto top-up service is applied to your card. It then rolls on continuously. You can auto top-up both pay-as-you-go cards and all period cards that are valid for 30 days.

  • Auto top-up is a service that means your card is automatically topped up when your credit and/or period has run out. When your period expires, or the balance on your pay-as-you-go card falls below SEK 0, the card is topped up automatically the next time you hold it against a card reader on board. You can auto top-up a period or pay-as-you-go account or both. You can only auto top-up a card that is registered on My Pages.

  • You never need to think about whether there is a valid top-up on the card or not; just take the trip. You also avoid having to go to a ticket sales point or a Västtrafik shop to top up your card.

    If you are not going to travel for a little while, e.g. if you are going on holiday, you can wait before activating the next top up. The card will only be topped up when you hold it against the card reader. If you have an Auto top-up period, you must activate your period within 180 days, otherwise it will become invalid.

  • You must be logged in to My Pages. There, select “My Västtrafikkorts” and choose the card you want to auto top-up by clicking the button to the right. You will see a short description of the service and can confirm your order by clicking the "Order now" button. You will then be taken to the shopping basket and should follow the instructions given there.

  • Pay-as-you-go cards and all period cards that are valid for 30 days.

  • You must have a Västtrafikkort, be a registered customer and be at least 18 years old. You must also have a mobile phone number on a Swedish contract and a VISA or MasterCard issued by a Swedish bank.

  • If you do not want to have Auto top-up, you can top up your card as normal at our Västtrafik shops or at one of our points of sale.

  • You must be logged in to My Pages. There, select “My Västtrafikkorts” and choose the card you want to auto top-up by clicking the button to the right. You will see a short description of the service and can confirm your order by clicking the "Order now" button. You will then be taken to the shopping basket and should follow the instructions given there.

    If you have Auto top-up set up for your card, when you balance falls to, or below, SEK 0, your card will be topped up by SEK 200. If you buy a new top-up from a point of sale or at a Västtrafik shop, it can take up to 48 hours before you are able to auto top-up via the website.

  • If you have Auto top-up pay-as-you-go, your card is topped up by SEK 200 each time. If there are several of you travelling a long distance, you can auto top-up the card in multiples of SEK 200 until there is enough credit for the entire group, up to a maximum of SEK 1,600.

  • You must be logged in to My Pages. There, select “My Västtrafikkorts” and choose the card you want to auto top-up by clicking the button to the right. You will see a short description of the service and can confirm your order by clicking the "Order now" button. You will then be taken to the shopping basket and should follow the instructions given there.

    If the card contains Auto top-up period, each new period is automatically topped up when the preceding one expires. One week before the period ends, the payment for the next period will be taken automatically from your account.

    You can auto top-up a period if it is already on the card. This can have started or expired or have been loaded onto the card but not yet activated. If you buy a new period at a point of sale or at a Västtrafik shop, it can take up to 48 hours before you are able to auto top-up via the website.

  • Initially it can take up to seven days from the date of ordering before the card is auto topped-up. It then rolls on continuously, provided you hold the card against a card reader.

  • The easiest way is to look under "My Västtrafikkorts" in the menu on the left in My Pages. You can also go to a ticket sales point or a Västtrafik shop and ask for a card check.

  • You can pay using the following bank cards: VISA and MasterCard. You can also pay using VISA Electron and Maestro.

    If you are using a temporary e-card, check with your bank that it is approved for recurring card payments.

    Enter your bank card number, validity period and CVC/CVV code.

  • This could be because there are insufficient funds on your bank card or because you have changed bank card. If you have auto top-up for a period card, the Auto top-up service will be removed from the Västtrafikkort and you will receive notification by sms and e-mail that Auto top-up has been removed. If you auto top-up pay-as-you-go, you will receive a reminder to ensure that the payment can be taken. We will make one further attempt to take the payment and if we are unable to do so, the Auto top-up service will be removed from the Västtrafikkort.

  • Go to "My Västtrafikkorts" and click on the "Change bank card" link under "Show top ups".

  • All purchases made on the Västtrafik website are carried out through a payment exchange. We have a partnership with DIBS Payment Services AB (www.dibs.se), which uses an encrypted connection to your bank to check that your card is valid for your purchase. You therefore do not provide any sensitive bank card details to Västtrafik. DIBS guarantees compliance with the security requirements stipulated by the banks, which means that your payment will be processed completely securely.

  • No, but a top up is only activated the next time you hold your card against a card reader. If you are using a period card, remember to activate your top up within 180 days of the initial order date, otherwise it will become invalid and you will not get your money back.

  • You can do this under My Västtrafikkort on My Pages. You will receive a receipt by e-mail. If you auto top-up a period card, you must cancel no later than eight days before your current period expires in order to prevent the next payment being taken. If you auto top-up a pay-as-you-go card, you can cancel at any time. Cancelling Auto top-up takes up to seven days. After seven days you must present your Västtrafikkort at a card reader on a vehicle, at a ticket agent or in a Västtrafik shop in order to complete the cancellation process.  Once cancellation is complete, it can take up to 48 hours for the status of your Västtrafikkort to be updated on My Pages.

  • You can get help transferring your credit from one card to another in any of our Västtrafik shops, but first you will need to deactivate Auto top-up. To start the deactivation process, perform a cancellation on My Pages under “My Västtrafikkort”. Click in the green field next to auto top-up where it says “ON” and then follow the instructions. You will receive confirmation by e-mail.

    - If you auto top-up a period card, you must cancel no later than eight days before your current period expires in order to prevent the next payment being taken.

    - If you auto top-up a pay-as-you-go card, you can cancel at any time.

    Cancelling Auto top-up takes up to seven days. Cancellation is complete after seven days and you can complete deactivation by presenting your Västtrafikkort at a card reader on a vehicle, at a ticket agent or in a Västtrafik shop Once you have presented your card at a card reader, it can take up to 48 hours before Auto top-up is deactivated and is displayed as “OFF” on My Pages (you can log in and check the status for yourself). Once Auto top-up is displayed as “OFF”, you can visit a Västtrafik shop and transfer your credit to another card.

    If you want to have Auto top-up on your new Västtrafikkort, you can order this in the usual way. The card must be registrered on My Pages. If it is not already registered, you can do this under “Add a Västtrafikkort”.
