Mobility services

Mobility services are designed for those who are unable to use ordinary public transport as a result of disability or illness. Your municipality will decide whether you are entitled to mobility services, and terms and conditions and prices vary across the region. One thing is the same, though, wherever you live: Ring up and book your journey and we will come and collect you!

Book by phone

Call us on 020 91 90 90 no more than 14 days and no later than one hour before you want to travel (Not applicable to the municipalities of Borås Gothenburg, Härryda, Lysekil, Mölndal, Tranemo and Ulricehamn). Our opening times are 6 am to 10 pm on weekdays and 8 am to 10 pm at weekends. You can call us any time of the day or night if you need to cancel or change a journey you have already booked. The same applies if you need emergency transport owing to illness.

When you call, you will be asked the following questions:

  • What is your name and personal identity number?
  • Which addresses do you want to be picked up from and dropped off at?
  • What time and date do you want to travel and do you have an appointment to attend?
  • Are you travelling alone or with someone else?
  • Do you want to book a return journey at the same time?
  • Will you have a wheelchair or rollator or other aid with you?
  • What telephone number can we reach you on?

Once you have made your booking, you will be given a time when we will come and collect you. If we have not arrived 10 minutes after the agreed time, please call 020 91 90 90.

You pay the driver for your journey when boarding the vehicle. We will tell you the cost of your journey at the time of booking. You can of course take aids and hand luggage with you, but not large suitcases or bulky items.

Are you a regular traveller?

If you regularly travel to and from the same place, we can draw up a timetable for you, so you do not have to call to book each journey separately. You then only need to call if you want to cancel or change the time of a journey.

Accompanying passengers and companions

You can always have someone with you on the journey. Companions travel free on Mobility services, while other accompanying passengers pay the same fare you do. If you need a companion, this must be stated on your mobility services pass. If you are travelling on ordinary public transport in Gothenburg, a companion can travel at no extra cost with a fare-paying disabled person with a mobility services pass, which must be presented when travelling. In other parts of the region, companions pay the standard fare for the journey.

If you have ordered a journey that you won’t be taking, please call +46 (0)20 91 90 90 to cancel.

Free travel

Right now, Västtrafik is offering free travel on public transport within Gothenburg for anyone with a valid mobility services pass within Gothenburg. Applies until 31 August 2015. Find out more on the Gothenburg municipality website.
