We would like all Västtrafik passengers to be happy with and feel that they can trust public transport services. Our aim is to ensure that you arrive at your destination at the scheduled time, that our staff is friendly and helpful, and that you experience a high level of service in well-maintained and clean vehicles on the way. Most of the 500,000 or so journeys undertaken with Västtrafik every day meet our standards. 

But sometimes things do not go as planned. When this happens, we are extremely concerned to find out what went wrong. Your account of why the journey did not live up to your expectations is important to us and helps us improve our services. 

Västtrafik's travel guarantee means that when you are delayed, or expect to be delayed, by at least 20 minutes due to us failing to meet our undertakings, you may be entitled to compensation or reimbursement, e.g. for a taxi ride. The maximum compensation is SEK 300 per passenger per occasion.

It is impossible for our staff to know everything that is happening on the routes. That is why the travel guarantee is designed to allow you to decide for yourself whether you should take a taxi or not.  

A 20 minute delay may not always be a sign of a failure of undertaking on our part, but we still want to hear from you if you are unhappy about something. We are always working to improve our services, and we will take your views on the services provided into account as far as possible.
