How to make a claim under the travel guarantee

When you feel that Västtrafik has not met its undertakings and you want compensation under the travel guarantee, you should complete the Västtrafik travel guarantee form. The form is available aboard Västtrafik vehicles and from customer services, and can also be completed on and printed from this website (click on Travel guarantee form in the box to the right).
Post the form to us as soon as possible, no later than a month from the date on which the event occurred. Postage has been paid.
If you do not have access to a printer on which to print the form, you can write us a letter instead. The necessary details are listed below.
If you want reimbursement for a taxi journey, please remember to enclose the original taximeter receipt. No other taxi receipts will be accepted.
If you do not have a form, please include the following details in your letter:
Name
Address
Daytime tel. no.
Date of the event
The planned route
Route number/route name
Departure time according to the timetable, as well as actual departure time
Arrival time according to the timetable, as well as actual arrival time
Any change of transport
A brief description of what happened
If you took a taxi or used a private vehicle and want reimbursed for this:
  • Please describe why you believed that you would be more than 20 minutes late.
  • Specify the starting point and destination addresses for the taxi journey/journey by private vehicle.
  • Specify any co-travellers. For full compensation under the travel guarantee, and if more than one person travelled in the same taxi, the names and addresses of all co-travellers must be submitted.
Specify how you want the reimbursed money to be paid:
  • Cash (specify account number including clearing number).
  • Via Post Giro payment.
  • Voucher redeemable against tickets.
Please enclose a stamped addressed envelope and send your claim to Västtrafik, Box 123, 541 23 Skövde. Mark the envelope "Resegarantin". Please remember to enclose original taximeter receipts.
