EU summit affects services

Expect a major impact on services in Gothenburg from Wednesday 15 to Friday 17 November, when EU heads of state and government gather for a meeting in Gothenburg.  There will be diversions and delays to services. You should therefore expect longer travel times and set off early.

How services will be affected

Wednesday 15 November

- Barriers will be put up around Gothia Towers and Eriksbergshallen.

- Örgrytevägen will be closed.

- The Liseberg stop will be suspended from 7 am on Wednesday to 3 pm on Friday.

- Korsvägen is will be open to traffic. 

- Östra Eriksbergsgatan will be closed, affecting the Danaplatsen, Eriksbergstorget, Sörhallstorget and färjeläge Eriksberg stops.

Services will begin operating as normal once the police have removed the barriers late on Friday afternoon. 

Thursday 16 November

- The barriers around Gothia Towers and Eriksbergshallen will remain in place.

Friday 17 November

- The barriers around Gothia Towers and Eriksbergshallen will remain in place.

- Services will be affected in the morning, as the delegates will be travelling from Gothia Towers to Eriksbergshallen. The police will then be implementing temporary traffic closures.
