Hede station is getting a new station building

In about a year’s time, people waiting for a train at Hede station will be able to wait indoors inside a new waiting room. Construction is beginning on the Hede station building in Kungsbacka.

Expected completion set for winter 2018/2019

Construction work on the station building begins on 14 December and is expected to be completed by winter 2018/2019. The building will have an open split-level waiting room and a service area on two floors.

More passengers in the next few years

The number of passengers on the Kungsbackapendeln commuter line is expected to double over the next three years as several new homes are built in Kungsbacka municipality.

The train station is being converted from a dedicated Park & ride station to a station that blends in with the local area, where several new homes are being built.

Fewer shelters during the construction work

The two shelters nearest the kiosk will be removed while construction is taking place. There will still be three shelters slightly further north on the platform. Trains will stop at the shelters that remain in use while construction is taking place.
