How does Västtrafik help refugees from Ukraine?

Västtrafik tries to support refugees from Ukraine who arrive to Västra Götaland by helping them with their first trips. Västtrafik carries out specially ordered trips by the Swedish Migration Agency, for example from the Stena Line-ferry terminal to the reception centre in Nordstan in Gothenburg.

Through the Swedish Migration Agency, Västtrafik hands out day tickets to refugees who need help getting to their new living quarters. Municipalities and the Swedish Migration Agency then take over the responsibility according to regular routines. Since routines are now in place, Ukrainian passports and identity documents are no longer valid as a ticket for travel with Västtrafik.
