  3. If you have to travel:
    - Travel outside rush hour.

    - Wear a face covering in rush hour if you are 16 years old or older.

Q&A

The Public Health Agency recommends that you wear a face covering in public transport during rush hour. This applies to those who are 16 years old or older, i.e. if you were born in 2004 or earlier. Rush hour is between 7-9 am and 4 pm on weekdays.

You are responsible for wearing a face covering during the intended times.

We follow developments closely and act on the basis of the information and guidelines that come from the Public Health Agency od Sweden and other authorities.

We keep the traffic running for those who have to travel by public transport. The ban on public gatherings of more than 8 people does not apply on public transport. We are making measures to ensure that journeys are as safe as possible.

Measures to reduce the spread of infection:

  • More traffic in rush hour to reduce on-board congestion.
  • Information on vehicles, shops and travel centres.
  • We've put protective glass in our stores' checkouts.
  • Announcements on vehicles that inform to avoid unnecessary travel.
  • On buses and trams, the front doors are closed and the area closest to the driver is closed.
  • Ticket inspectors has a face shield but can also have both face shield and visors during ticket control.
  • Ticket inspectors and customer hosts offer hand liquor to travelers.
  • You can not buy a ticket from the driver.
  • Informants at stops help customers keep their distance and inform about the next departure to spread travel on more vehicles.

Our staff as drivers, ticket inspectors or customer hosts cannot physically prevent customers from boarding. But they'll tell you when it's crowded on board.

On boats, the staff counts all customers and can also refuse more people to board if the boat is crowded.

You may need to get on buses and trams through the doors in the middle or at the back. We have given our traffic companies the opportunity to take such measures to reduce the anxiety that many drivers feel so they feel safe and can continue to do their important work.

Our vehicles, travel centres, stations and stops are cleaned as usual, which means that they are cleaned every day.

Do not travel with us if you are sick. If you are at risk, you should also avoid public transport.

We encourage you to consider working from home. We also encourage you to cycle and walk if possible.

Due to the corona virus and the risk of infection, Västtrafik does not accept any bookings for group trips at this time. The measure is implemented to reduce the risk of infection in society and follows the Public Health Agency's recommendations that public transport should limit the number of passengers on our vehicles.

In the care of you and all other travelers who need to travel with our service vehicles, please follow the recommendations of the Public Health Agency of Sweden. Following the advice that Vårdguiden 1177 gives to those who need a to travel by medical taxi. It is also a matter of thinking carefully about whether you should make a trip when you have an infection, or belong to one of the risk groups.

We do our best to work with our transport companies to create as safe travel as possible during the current situation. If you have questions about the special public transport system, please refer to pre ordered traffic customer service: 020-919090 (tone dial 4) or synpunkt.anrop@vasttrafik.se

Due to the spread of the corona virus and the recommendations issued by the Public Health Agency of Sweden to prevent the spread of infection, so-called one-passenger-trips applies in pre ordered traffic, Närtrafik and Flextrafik. One-passenger-trips has already been introduced in Färdtjänst and hospital trips, where travellers are often in risk groups. This means that each traveller orders their trip as usual but travels alone in the vehicle. The decision does not affect day and care trips, school taxis or Ronden. Travellers to day and care activities and to school travel only when you are symptom-free.

Västtrafik has introduced so-called one-passenger-trip in hotpital trips and färdtjänst. Each traveler orders their trip as usual but travels alone in the vehicle. The decision does not affect day and care trips or school taxis and Ronden. Travellers to day and care activities and to school travel only when you are symptom-free.

At the moment it is not possible to book a hospital trip or a journey with färdtjänst in the front seat. Closing the front seat is not something that the Public Health Agency recommends at present, the measure is made to reduce the anxiety that many drivers feel so they feel safe and can continue to do their important work. Travelers who have been granted to travel in the front seat will be offered to travel in the back seat. If the traveler declines, the trip cannot be booked under the current situation. Trips for students who normally travel in the front seat will be rescheduled for the time being so that the student is instead placed in the back seat. We work as quickly as we can to reschedule the trips. This is valid until further notice.

We do our best to work with our transport companies to create as safe travel as possible during the current situation.

Västtrafik has introduced so-called one-pasenger-trips in Närtrafik, Flextrafiken and pre ordered traffic, which are served by passenger cars. This is to reduce the spread of infection. We have already switched off the possibility of travelling in the front seat of the vehicle.

Each traveller orders their trip as usual but travels alone or with their travelling companion in the vehicle. One-passenger-trips still means that you can book for several people at the same time. If there is three people traveling, they will be placed in a rear seat of a vehicle. If there are four people  travelling , an additional car will be booked or another vehicle type.
