Senior citizen card
Many municipalities in Västra Götaland offer a Senior citizen card for their older residents. The Senior citizen card is free and you can use it to travel free of charge in the municipality where you live.
The municipality pays for the card
The municipality pays for your Senior citizen card. In some municipalities, you need to pay a one-off fee for the card.
If you live in a municipality that offers a Senior citizen card, you will receive a letter from us a few weeks before your 65th or 75th birthday. Once you have received this letter, you can order your card.
