Transportation service (Färdtjänst)
Transportation service is public transport for those who cannot travel by regular public transport due to illness or disability. You need to have special transport permit to travel with transportation service.
Travelling by transportation service
- You need to have special transport permits. Your municipality determines if you are eligible for transportation service.
- Order by phone at the latest one hour before you want to travel.
- Pay to the driver when you get picked up.
The price depends on the distance you travel and the rules in your municipality. You may know what the journey will cost when you order it.
Terms and conditions
You can bring your pet with you on the journey if you mention this when booking and if your municipality allows. Pets must travel in a cage in the vehicle’s luggage area.
Please be aware that there may be animals on the vehicle if an accompanying passenger has brought a pet with them.
Please indicate when booking if you want to bring a pram or pushchair with you.
Please indicate when booking if you want to bring luggage with you. You can bring luggage with you that is no larger than two shopping bags.
Booster seats for children
The vehicle is equipped with a booster seat for one child. If more than one child will be travelling in the same vehicle, you must bring your own additional booster seats or child car seats.
Rollators and aids
Please indicate when booking which aids you want to bring with you, such as a rollator.
Accompanying passenger: pays the same price as you.
Companion: travels free of charge. Your transportation service pass must state that a companion may travel with you on your journey.
