Ticket inspections

You may have to pay penalty fare if you do not have a valid ticket for your journey. You can appeal if you think that we have given you an incorrect charge. The purpose of our ticket inspections is to get more people to pay for their trip.

How a ticket inspection works

Our ticket inspectors look at tickets on board our vehicles to check that they are valid for the journey. Ticket inspectors wear clearly visible uniforms.

The penalty for not having a ticket is: SEK 1,200

Appealing against a penalty fare

You can appeal if you think you have been given a penalty fare incorrectly. Submit your appeal to the ticket inspection office within ten days of the date of the ticket inspection.
