Travel with an Interrail Pass on Västtrafik Trains
There are two types of Interrail passes: the Global Pass and the One Country Pass. The type of pass you have determines which journeys you can make on Västtrafik trains.
Global Pass
The Global Pass is valid for train travel in more than 30 European countries.
- If you are a resident of Sweden and have listed Sweden as your country of residence, you may make two journeys on Västtrafik trains.
- If you are a resident outside Sweden, you may travel without limit on Västtrafik trains.
One Country Pass
The One Country Pass is valid only in a single country. If you have a One Country Pass for Sweden, you may travel without limit on Västtrafik trains on the travel days included in your pass.
What is the difference between Interrail and Eurail?
Interrail and Eurail work in the same way and provide access to the same rail network across Europe. The difference is who they are intended for:
- Interrail is for citizens or residents of European countries.
- Eurail is for citizens or residents of countries outside Europe.
