Bags and luggage

We understand that you sometimes need to carry bags and larger luggage on your trip. There is no extra charge to bring luggage.
Tips with luggage
Place the baggage so that it does not obstruct visibility for the driver or block escape routes.
Seatbelt

Seat belts are an important part of onboard safety. If there is a seat belt at your seat, you must wear it throughout the journey. It can protect you and others if the bus needs to brake suddenly or if an accident occurs.
City buses
City buses are generally not equipped with seat belts. They are designed for urban traffic, where many passengers get on and off, so standing is permitted.
Regional and rural buses
Buses travelling longer distances are equipped with seat belts at the seats. When travelling on these buses, you must sit in a seat and wear your seat belt throughout the journey. On some buses, standing is permitted if all seats are occupied. If a seat with a seat belt is available, you must choose that seat.
Travelling with children
Children under the age of three are exempt from the seat belt requirement, but for your child's safety, we recommend using a suitable child restraint whenever possible. Many express buses have integrated child seats. Several regional and rural buses are also equipped with booster cushions to help position the seat belt correctly.
If you do not wear a seat belt
If you travel in a seat equipped with a seat belt and do not wear it, you may be fined SEK 1,500 during a police check.
