How to book a trip
- Open the Buss on Demand app*. The first time you use the app, you will need to register and answer a few short questions via a link sent to your email. You can also search for a trip in our Västtrafik To Go app and access the Buss on Demand app from there.
- Enter your pick-up and destination address or search for a stop on the map.
- The app suggests the nearest or most suitable pick-up points/stops close to you. These can be either physical or virtual. You will never be more than 400 meters from a stop. Choose your stop. Note! Sometimes you may be assigned an alternative stop to optimize the route for everyone on the bus. This alternative stop will always be within 400 meters of the stop you originally searched for.
- Choose departure time. Note! The arrival time is the time we guarantee you will reach your destination. Your pick-up time is flexible.
- Buy your ticket in the Västtrafik To Go app. If you already have a period ticket, school ticket, or senior ticket, you can use that.
- A bus will pick you up. You will travel with others and make stops along the way.
Tip! If you have an especially important trip, it’s a good idea to book the day before.
*You need to create an account in the Buss on Demand app, even if you already have a Västtrafik account.
Book by phone
If you're unable to book a trip in the app, you can also book by phone. Contact us at 0771-91 90 90 and we'll help you. However, it's important to know that the service works best in the Buss on demand app, where you can track your bus on the map and get real-time travel updates.
