Camera surveillance regarding certain bus stations can be used live by Västtrafik's traffic control based on accident prevention.

If you have been the victim of a crime in public transport procured by Västtrafik

If you have been the victim of a crime, you should immediately file a police report, so that the police authority or other competent investigator can request stored image material via their own image analysis group. A criminal and/or accident investigation is then conducted. Only the police authority or other competent investigator has access to stored image material. Västtrafik does not conduct any criminal investigations.

When reporting to the police, you state that there may be stored image material at Västtrafik. This must be done within 24 hours of the time of the crime, otherwise there is a risk that the image material will be lost.

How long is the recorded material saved?

The storage time of the recorded material from fixed cameras varies from 24 hours (1 day) to 240 hours (10 days).

Recorded material from bodycams is deleted no later than 30 days after a threatening and violent situation that required the staff to press the record button.

The material is stored and handled within the EU/EEA.
